tonight at our meeting we had 4 letters from "the branch" read at our meeting.

i was caught off guard since we usually have an advance warning when these letters are going to be read.

Tonight at our meeting we had 4 letters from "The Branch" read at our meeting. I was caught off guard since we usually have an advance warning when these letters are going to be read. Is the Watchtower getting better at hiding these letters?

1) Reduction of Pioneer School days from 10 to 6 (Mon-Sat)

2) International Conventions in the U.S. 16 of them in Major cities

3) The use of "Tablets and Smart Phones at the Meetings"

4) "Using our Smart Phones and Tablets while distributing our new tracts".

Did you ever volunteer at or visit Bethel? What were your impressions when you were in the WBTS vs. now (looking back)?

did you ever volunteer/visit bethel back when you were in the borg?

at the time, it opended my eyes as i saw a lot of red flags.

for instance, volunteers were kept so busy without reasonable accomodations that everyone became in a robotic-zombie state of compliance with an unreasonably strict fast pased schedule.

Went to Patterson for Kingdom Ministry School for Elders in 2008. Had a BLAST! Studied so so, drank wine, had wifi, nice room, good food and a great room mate.

After reading all these posts, I can say the Elder who did our Local Needs part is a former Bethelite(10 years in Walkhill) and probably did some embelishment to the outline. He always trys in his various parts to stir up emotions.

He started off his part by saying" This outline has been provided by the Governing Body to be covered this week in all the congregations in the U.S. territories". So I assumed whatever words came out of his mouth was directly coming from the GB.

BTW, I use the tag line "Former Long Time Elder (20 consecutive years Elder, 5 years as an MS, total of 25 years of serving, 14 years of regular pioneering, not raised in the truth)", to remind myself of all the pain inflicted on me by the local elders, some who had an ax to grind. I have been an active JW for over 30 years, NEVER Reproved or congregational disciplined unlike my fellow Elders!

Then he added twice; that the "GREAT TRIBULATION" cannot start to after the "WORLD HEAD QUARTERS" is built! " WITH THE RESSURECTION AROUNG THE CORNER,THE GREAT TEACHING WORK AHEAD, WE NEED THIS WORLD HEAD QUARTERS BUILT'! SO EVERYONE NEEDS TO SUPPORT THIS BUILDING PROJECT"!

it is sad... it is pathetic... it has helped me realize that i have no connection to these people anymore.

Tech 49: the 3 F's...Fading, Field Service, and Friends

here we are, the family and i, moving along in our slow journey to freedom.

although they are unaware, for the most part, our ship is slowly veering off course.

not enough to cause attention, not enough to trigger alarm bells, but just enough.. since the summer dc, i have watched carefully, as the new releases remain on the coffee table, in plain sight, not touched, more of a decoration that anything.

Tell your Brother to live his life and you will live yours. I would be cordial, and yet not a smart ass, for this would just get him excited and worked up. "Kill him with Kindness".

I tried this with my brother and we do not argue anymore.
